The Omiyage Honpo Hakata

Located right in front of the Shinkansen central ticket gate, this shop offers a wide variety of items from bestsellers to exclusive original items.
You can enjoy shopping in an atmospheric and spacious setting.
There is also a corner selling “umegaemochi” (rice cake filled with redbean paste), a well-loved confectionery for both locals and tourists.

Manneken Shinkansen Hakata Station Outside Ticket Gates Store (at The Omiyage Honpo Hakata)

Manneken sells freshly pressed waffles that are crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It is also recommended as a souvenir.

This 7-Eleven is located along Hakata Ikiikidori Avenue, right outside the Chikushi gate of Hakata Station.
Directly located in the station, you’ll find a wide range of everyday useful items, perfect for your needs.

Hakata Ikkousha Hakata Station Chikushi Gate Store

Located next to Yodobashi Camera at the Chikushi gate of Hakata Station, this is an authentic Hakata “tonkotsu” (pork bone) ramen restaurant.
You can enjoy the foam-style “awakei tonkotsu ramen”with rich and creamy broth condensed from the umami of pork bone, the “shio tonkotsu ramen”, a slightly lighter broth with rich saltiness, or the “meaty Chinese noodles” (available only at the Chikushi gate store), with plenty of “chashu” (roast pork) on top.
The Hakata style bite-sized “gyoza” (pork dumplings) and the moist, fluffy fried rice are also highly recommended.

Hakata Pork Bone Soy Sauce Ramen Uchidaya

Located right outside the Chikushi gate of Hakata Station, you can find this ramen shop with a big Japanese character “ら” decorated at the entrance.
The chunky, smoky grilled pork is going to impress you!
Enjoy the intricate balance between the slow-brewed broth and special soy sauce, which changes over time.
Alcoholic beverages are served and it is popular at lunch time but also after work.

With interior and snacks that resemble the nostalgic and vibrant ambience of a coffee shop, this “kissakaba”(coffee bar) is a place serving alcoholic beverages.

POP UP STORE Hikari Kiosk Vending Machine Corner

The vending machine corner on the 2nd floor of Hikari Square at Hakata Station is selling not only beverages, but even iconic Hakata gourmet such as “spicy cod roe” “offal hotpot,” “Kawaya’s grilled chicken skin,” and “spicy cod roe kimchi” in frozen packages.

The largest souvenir shop within the paid area of Shinkansen Hakata Station offers various items including confectionery, spicy cod roe, shochu, character goods, and more. You will enjoy the wide product variety and spacious interior.

Ekiben-dokoro Hakata

Located on the left-hand side after ascending to the 2nd floor from the central ticket gate of Shinkansen Hakata Station, it offers a good variety of ekiben (box lunch sold at train station) and sushi mainly from Fukuoka, as well as western Japan area.

7-Eleven Heart-in Hakata Station Shinkansen Gate Paid Area Store

Located within the paid area of Shinkansen Gate of Hakata Station, it offers not only onigiri and sandwiches but also popular souvenir items. Serving customers travelling on the first train.

Kyushu Megumi no Tamatebako Hakata Store

Centrally located within the paid area of Shinkansen Hakata Station, this souvenir store offers souvenirs from Kyushu, particularly from Fukuoka.
There is a special PR corner showcasing the charms of Munakata city, and featuring a variety of products from Munakata.

Udon / Soba Esuta

Located just inside the Hikari ticket gate at Shinkansen Hakata Station.
Recommended menu includes the classic “burdock tempura udon,” the original “offal udon,” and “Yamaya’s spicy cod roe udon.”
It is also a good place for a drink and please visit us after your trip or work.

Doutor Coffee Shop JR Hakata Station Shinkansen Store

Doutor is a coffee shop chain with approximately 1,000 stores nationwide, operating based on the philosophy of “providing customers with comfort and vitality through a cup of good coffee.”
Electrical outlets, free Wi-Fi, smoking room and core working seats are also available.

The Omiyage Ichiba(souvenir market) Hakata Store

Located right after entering the Hikari Square ticket gate, it is a one-stop shop where you can shop for Hakata souvenirs, as well as onigiri and sandwiches from the 7-Eleven attached in-store.

Mentaiko Stadium

Specialized in products using “mentaiko” (spicy cod roe), you can find limited edition products at a bargain, so please stop by when you visit Hakata Station.

The 7-Eleven is located in front of the escalators at platforms No. 13 and 14.
It offers sandwiches, onigiri, the popular Seven Café series as well as souvenirs, making it a convenient stop before departure.

The Omiyage Ichiba(souvenir market) Hakata 15th Platform Store


The vending machine corner is located in front of the escalators at Shinkansen platforms 15 and 16 Kumamoto side.
The vending machines are selling not only beverages, but even iconic Hakata gourmet such as “spicy cod roe” “offal hotpot,” “Kawaya’s grilled chicken skin,” and “spicy cod roe baguette”and “Ralukii’s pasta sauce” in frozen packages.

Kyushu Megumi Kozuchi

Located on the 1st floor of Hotel VIA INN Hakataguchi Ekimae, a 4-minute walk from the Hakata gate of Hakata Station.
At breakfast, you can enjoy local delicacies such as “kashiwameshi” (seasoned chicken rice) made in traditional home-cooking style, offal hotpot, spicy cod roe and “okito”seaweed jelly.
You can enjoy value set meal for lunch or have a drink at “Bar Yorukozuchi”, serving reasonably priced menu that goes well with alcoholic beverages.
